This trek gives you the grand tour of the famous Khumbu Valley. This is a strenuous trek leading to Gokyo Lake and over the Cho La at 5,420m making a circuit of Tawache (6,367 m) and Cholatse (6,440m). Emerging into the Khumbu valley above Lobuje the trail continues up to Kalapattar and then back to Lukla via Thengboche and Namche Bazaar.

Breathtaking mountain vistas are complemented by visits to Sherpa villages, homes and monasteries offering you an insight into the quiet but, culturally vibrant Sherpa way of life...
Everest Region People / Tradition / Cultures and Festivals
Sherpa religion (a mixture of Buddhist and animist) and culture have evolved from thousands of years of myths, stories and strong religious practice. Those of us attempting to understand this culture soon enter an endless maze of woven stories and tales. With the advent of tourism a considerable amount of the Khumbu economy now revolves around caring for trekkers and climbers. Though originally from Tibet, Tibetans and Sherpas are culturally very different from each other, depending on region of origin.
