Overview

Langtang Trekking... Enjoying the land of fantasy. Easy accessibility and breathtaking mountain scenery make the Langtang valley, located north of Kathmandu, one of the most popular trekking destinations in Nepal.

The Langtang valley is aptly called the valley of glaciers. On either side of valley, mountains rise, soaring into the sky. The valley offers pine forest, slow moving rivers and swift mountain streams, rugged rock and snow–capped peaks, grassy downs and meadows strewn with daisies and wild premolars. In the upper part of valley there are snow bridges spanning angry torrents, high passes enveloped in mist, tiny lakes with icebergs floating on them and water of crystalline brightness. There are also high mountains of solid ice..

Special - And Not to Forget

Starting from the lovely hill town of Syabrubensi our trek winds through beautiful and conifer forests through the Langtang National Park on the way to the higher slopes. We pass through the high Alpine yak pastures, glaciers and moraines around Kyangin and a climb of the peak Naya kanga is the another option to think. More to see are the Sacred Lakes for the Hindus at Gosainkund (4,380 m) crossing into Helambu via the Laurebina Pass (4,610 m) and getting to Ghopte (3,430 m) and further to Trake Gyang.

LANGTANG  REGION - Climbing the Peaks in this area

While you trek in Nepal, lets say in most of the places you'll have an option or more to the extension of your plan to climb lesser known peaks designated as "Trekking Peaks". And why the Langtang Region to be an exception? Here, it has -

Naya Kanga (5,844m)
Yala Peak (5,600m)
